Multivac’s newly built factory in Bulgaria represents quite a big success for the company, declared Tobias Richter, Vice President Sales&Operations Multivac in Bulgaria, in an interview for Euromeatnews.

“We bought a plot of 20,000 sqm and built a 13,000 sqm factory. So, now we have 130 employees there and we produce parts for our core factory, our headquarters in Germany, mostly parts for the machines. Capacity is already fully booked, it is very successful, it has a high standard, the same standard production as we have in Germany,” Mr Richter said.

In June 2018, Multivac has unveiled its first manufacturing plant from Eastern Europe situated near Sofia, Bulgaria. The company's construction of the 20,000 sq m plant is part of its plans to increase production capacity. Multivac announced that the new facility features some of the latest production technology, a warehouse, logisitcs centre, training centre and an administration building. The company invested around 18.8 million euros in this new facility and created more than 150 jobs in the area.
