USMEF ambassadors in Chile, Peru working directly with importers and buyers

"We began the Ambassador program to help implement educational and promotional activities in Chile and Peru. Now, we are evolving our ambassador responsibilities to also work directly with the trade through the BizBooster program", says USMEF South America Representative Jessica Julca.

Having already graduated from ambassador-level training about U.S. red meat production and quality, a number of ambassadors are now working directly with local importers and potential end-users in Chile and Peru. Training for the BizBooster program focuses on strengthening skills in communications, marketing and relationship development.

Ambassadors display their completion certificates following an all-day training session in Chile under USMEF’s new BizBooster program.

A key objective of BizBooster is to advance trade relationships between local suppliers and potential buyers. Ambassadors contact foodservice and retail accounts for trade leads, to connect potential buyers with appropriate importer/suppliers, help address operational issues and offer guidance on purchasing cuts and potential applications. The program focuses on catering, hotels, restaurants and small retailers in major markets in Chile and Peru.
