€20 million investment for the most advanced sausage factory in EU
Canigueral Group intends to invest €20 million in a processing unit for Monter, a subsidiary specialized in sausages. The plant will be one of the most advanced and technologized units in Europe, according to a statement from the company.
The new plant will be built in Spain, in La Garrotxa region, on a surface of 30,000 sqm and it will be fitted with equipment and technology from Industry 4.0 range. Monter is an integrated supplier of Mercadora, which currently absorbs all its production, informs CDE Comunicacion portal.
The works will start in the autumn and it is estimated that it can be operational by 2021. It will allow the production cycle of the sausage to be completed, will have 100 dryers and will create 100 jobs.
Other investments are planned for the other three Monter plants in order to increase production and allow the company to export its sausages.
