ANAFRIC attends the meeting with the Generalitat to address the meat sector's concerns
During the meeting, the sector expressed its concern about the serious consequences that these tariffs – whether 10% or 20% – could have on international operations, especially for companies with a presence or clients in the US. The measure is generating great uncertainty, hindering business decision-making and affecting short- and medium-term planning.
In the words of José Friguls, president of ANAFRIC :
"Uncertainty is what's causing us the most headaches right now. We understand that the Generalitat (Catalan Government) is making efforts to find a solution, and we at ANAFRIC would like to thank Minister Ordeig for his constant support for businesses".
The Catalan government has expressed its commitment to implementing financial aid, technical advice, and support measures for affected companies, as well as working actively to develop a swift and effective response to minimize the impact of this situation.
At ANAFRIC, we highly value the convening of this meeting and thank the Generalitat for its support and willingness to work together with the sector, with the aim of protecting the competitiveness and internationalization of our companies.
