Vietnam's opening to chicken offal and feet should strengthen Brazilian presence

With a population of around 100 million, Vietnam is a key Asian market for the global chicken meat trade.

The country imports around 170,000 tons of meat and chicken products annually. In the case of Brazil, it is currently the seventh largest destination for exports to Asia, with 11,000 tons of Brazilian products in 2024.

"Vietnam is a high value-added market for offal and feet, with great demand for products. The opening, made possible by strong work by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock together with the private sector, should represent a significant increase in the final result of Brazilian exports this year", emphasizes ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
