Argentine beef kicks off in 2026 at the Gulfood fair in the United Arab Emirates
As part of its market diversification strategy, Argentine Beef will once again participate in Gulfood, one of the most important food fairs in Muslim countries, which will take place between January 26 and 30 in Dubai.
This is one of the four international fairs in which the Institute will participate during the year, events in which similar entities from all producing countries also take part, such as INAC from Uruguay, ABIEC from Brazil, MLA from Australia, the US Meat Export Federation, AHDB from the United Kingdom or Bord Bia from Ireland.
“This is a very important fair for us, not only because of the country where it's held, but also because it's a region of the world that is consolidating its position year after year, allowing us to diversify the destinations for Argentine beef”, said Georges Breitschmitt, president of the IPCVA. “It's a market that requires a religious ritual, halal, and Argentina is prepared and ready to offer our most emblematic product”, he added.
“The halal market is constantly growing due to the number of consumers who practice Islam and are spread across different countries around the world. And not only in this region: there are Muslims in Europe, the United States, and major Asian countries”, said Mario Ravettino, vice president of the IPCVA.
“Furthermore, the Gulfood fair attracts visitors, customers, and exhibitors from Southeast Asia, which is the main destination and the primary target for meat-exporting countries”, he concluded.
The companies accompanying the IPCVA are the following: Offal Exp, Frimsa, Industrias Frigoríficas Sur, Frigorífico Rioplatense, Grupo Lequio, Frigorífico Bermejo, Azul Natural Beef, Bustos Beltran and Argall.
