Brazil: Egg exports maintain growth in September

Shipments this year already exceed 34,000 tons and revenue exceeds US$80 million.

Brazil: Egg exports maintain growth in September

Brazilian egg exports (including all products, both fresh and processed) totaled 2,076 tons in September, according to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). This figure is 39.7% higher than the 1,485 tons recorded in the same period last year.

Revenue from shipments during the month reached US$5.5 million, a result 94.2% higher than the total recorded in September 2024, with US$2.8 million.

With this month's performance, the sector accumulated 34,348 tons exported between January and September, a 174.1% increase over the 12,542 tons recorded in the first nine months of 2024. In terms of revenue, the year-to-date total reached US$80.8 million, an increase of 201.7% compared to the same period last year, with US$26.7 million.

Japan, the month's main destination, imported 692 tons in September, a 497.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Next are Chile, with 400 tons (-57.1%), the United Arab Emirates, with 279 tons (no shipments recorded in September), Mexico, with 251 tons (no shipments recorded), and the United States, with 100 tons (-41.1%).

"After the tariff hike, there was a reconfiguration of the sector's export map, with the reestablishment of flow to traditional markets in the Middle East and recently opened destinations in Latin America," highlights Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA.
