Chicken meat exporters promote sector in Qatar

In all, 30 panels were spread across the busiest avenues in the capital of the country hosting the World Cup.

With the message "Brazilian Halal Chicken: bringing flavor and sustainability to more than 150 countries. Try it in Qatar!" (written in Arabic and English), the panels seek to reinforce the Brazilian presence as the main supplier of poultry protein, both for the Qatari market and for the entire Islamic international market.

Largest exporter of halal chicken meat on the planet, Brazil supplies approximately 70% of all chicken meat consumed by Qatar. Between January and October this year alone, the Islamic nation imported 90,600 tons of the Brazilian poultry product, which generated export revenues of more than US$ 177.9 million for the national poultry industry.

"The World Cup is a unique opportunity to strengthen our image. For our sector, it is even more special, given our link between the Brazilian image and football and the fact that we are the main supplier of protein for this market. In this Cup, Brazil must score goals far beyond the stadiums, reinforcing its position as a partner for food security in Islamic nations", emphasizes ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
