INTERPORC promotes Olympic values with a healthy eating initiative at the Sierra Nevada Olympic Festival
The initiative, which began on February 16th, and runs until the 21st, is taking place at the Mirlo Blanco activity park, where INTERPORC has set up a food truck from which hundreds of Serrano ham sandwiches will be distributed to attendees. This action is part of a collaboration agreement between the Interprofessional Association and the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE).
The Sierra Nevada Olympic Festival Milano-Cortina 2026 transforms the Granada resort into an extension of the Olympic experience for the Spanish public, bringing the values of sport closer and promoting active and healthy lifestyles among all ages.
In this context, the choice of Serrano ham is based on nutritional and informational criteria. It is a traditional food that provides high-biological-value proteins, B vitamins, and essential minerals such as iron and zinc, making it a product compatible with a varied and balanced diet, especially during periods of moderate or intense physical activity.
INTERPORC Director Alberto Herranz emphasized that “it is an honor to collaborate with the Spanish Olympic Committee in such a symbolic setting as the Olympic Festival, where sport, health, and responsible eating come together.” He also underlined that “Serrano ham, deeply rooted in our culinary culture, is perfectly compatible with an active lifestyle based on balance and nutritional quality.”
With this action, INTERPORC reinforces its commitment to promoting healthy habits and disseminating balanced nutrition, aligned with the values of the Olympic movement and a responsible vision of physical performance and body care.
