Israel is interested in importing Lithuanian beef
The Lithuanian minister said that there are current discussion regarding the possibility of exporting kosher beef to Israel.
Surplys says that although Lithuanian companies have acces to the Israeli market, it is not cost-effective for them to export beef.
But the minister believes that a Lithuanian joint meat processing company could step up beef shipments to Israel.
Furthermore, Surplys said that Israel is looking to change its imports policy and wants to import less livestock and more meat products.
On the other hand, the Lithuanian official believes that the Baltic country's poultry producers could export eggs to Israel, as they are already looking for new markets to sell their products.
