JBS wins 'Export Company of the Year' award from Apex

Upon receiving the award, Joesley Batista, a J&F shareholder and member of the JBS Board of Directors, highlighted that the company has the largest presence abroad, but reinforced that Brazil continues to be the company's investment focus. The executive also highlighted the importance of the award for the Company and for the country. "We need to be proud of the quality of the products that Brazil exports to the world. This is due to the enormous leap in quality and productivity that the country's agriculture has made in recent decades, thanks to scientific research and the efforts of our rural producers.”

For Joesley, Brazil is currently one of the few places in the world that has the capacity to expand production to meet a growing global demand for food. Considering that the population is expected to reach approximately 10 billion people by 2050, the executive reinforces that it is necessary to produce more with less, preserving natural resources.

"JBS now has a global platform. With our team, our constant innovation and focus on operational excellence, we are able to add value to Brazilian agricultural products while meeting the needs of our customers and consumers in the most demanding markets in the world".

In addition to the excellence in product quality, JBS is also recognized for its commitment to sustainability. Joesley Batista recalled the company's pioneering work in monitoring its suppliers and implementing sustainable practices, such as the "Green Offices" program, which has already benefited more than 14,000 producers, offering support for environmental regularization and technical assistance to produce more efficiently.

ApexBrasil President Jorge Viana highlighted in his opening speech the current moment in Brazil’s foreign trade. "In the next two years, we could reach US$1 trillion in foreign trade flow. This means more jobs, better pay for workers and a greater presence for Brazil in the world. A company that exports needs to be more qualified because it competes in the global market and has to have a reputation for its products. And Brazil is now ready for any and all international challenges", said Viana.
