Within the framework of the Ordinary Annual Assembly of the Institute for the Promotion of Argentine Beef (IPCVA) that was held on March 29, 2023, the agricultural entities unanimously elected Jorge Grimberg, representative of the Argentine Rural Confederations (CRA), as new President of the Institute.

The vice presidency will continue to be in charge of Daniel Urcía (FIFRA).

In the assembly, chaired by José María Romero, Undersecretary of Livestock of the Nation, the report, balance and annual operating plan were also approved.

"We have many projects to carry out", assured Grimberg, after thanking the entities for their choice. "We are going to strengthen the presence of Argentine meat in strategic markets such as China, Europe and the United States, but without neglecting the domestic market, which is our main customer", he added. In this regard, he assured that "despite the economic crisis, we are going to work hard to position beef as an essential food for health, especially among the youngest consumers, who are the segment that presents the main challenge for the production chain. "

Jorge Grimberg is a Veterinary Doctor (UNLP), a cattle producer from Bahía Blanca, Province of Buenos Aires, with extensive experience within the entities of the sector. He was President of the Association of Ranchers and Farmers of Bahía Blanca (2006-2010), held various positions in the Bahía Blanca Grain Exchange (1997-present), was Vice President of Carbap (2010-2016), President of the Bahía Foundation Blanca-Rosales for Animal Health (1990-present) and Counselor of the IPCVA since 2015.
