PROVACUNO promotes Spanish beef in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia, in full social evolution and with international aspirations for the year 2030, has been the scene of events promoted by PROVACUNO, aimed at enhancing the image of Spanish beef in this country. Although Saudi consumption habits exclude pork, there is a high recognition of quality beef, considering it a gourmet product.

Since the opening of the Saudi market in 2016, more than 30 Spanish establishments have been authorized to export to this country, known for its high purchasing power and its preference for quality in purchasing decisions. The beef aligns perfectly with Saudi preferences, standing out for its tenderness, juiciness, delicate flavor and safety backed by compliance with Spanish and European production standards, recognized as the most demanding in the world.

As part of the promotion strategy, the PROVACUNO delegation has carried out a training day at the prestigious Elite Chef culinary school in Ryad. The objective is to inform future culinary chefs about the distinctive characteristics of Spanish beef.

During the trade mission, a meeting was organized with top-level Saudi influencers, allowing them to convey their impressions about Spanish beef to their followers.

The culmination of the trade mission took place with the "Spanish Beef Festival" at the residence of the Spanish ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Jorge Hevia. The event was attended by nearly a hundred key actors in the beef commercial chain in the country, as well as authorities and the media.

These actions, gastronomically coordinated by chef Juanlu Fernández, awarded with a Michelin star, seek to strengthen knowledge of Spanish beef and promote a commercial activity that has remained stable at around 100 tons per year in recent years. All this is part of the EU project, "What Wonderful European Beef 2.0!", a program co-financed by the EU for the promotion of high-quality food products in third countries.
