Paraguay aims to double beef sales to the US by 2025
"The United States has been something magnificent", the president of Senacsa, José Carlos Martin.
Between January and November, the North American market ranked third in volume, with a total of 25,309 tons, only below Chile and Taiwan. In terms of sales, it ranked fourth with more than US$ 127 million, being displaced by Brazil.
In any case, Paraguay's experience in the market was very satisfactory, given that the national government's projections of reaching 10 thousand tons during 2024 were greatly exceeded.
"We exceeded the forecast of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) by four times and the forecast of Senacsa by 2.5 times", confirmed José Carlos Martin.
He added: "The United States is a very large market and, given the volume we can offer, it can continue to bring us many surprises".
