Romania has the fastest growth rate in Aberdeen Angus cattle population in Europe

World Angus Forum made it clear: Romania is the European country with the fastest rate of population growth for Aberdeen Angus cattle population. It stands now at 126% increase in population compared to number existing just a few years ago, mentioned Nagy Peter Tamas, member of Romanian Aberdeen Angus Association's board of directors.
"Thanks to the Association more than 90% of the cattle are certified breed. Now we have to stop exporting the livestock and focus on feed them and slaughter them here, in Romania, in order to increase our beef exports in the future", said Tamas.
Romanian Aberdeen Angus Association is comprising 750 members and more than 90% of their livestock is raised and slaughtered in the country, informs Industria Carnii magazine.
