Singapore has opened its market to Paraguayan sheep meat

The national livestock sector achieved a new historical milestone with the opening of the Republic of Singapore market for exports of sheep meat products.

The official certificate was presented by the Official Veterinary Service of Singapore during the 93rd General Session of the World Assembly of Delegates of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).

Present were the First Vice President of the Rural Association of Paraguay (ARP) and President of FUNDASSA, Dr. Mario Apodaca Guex ; the President of the National Service for Animal Health and Quality (SENACSA), Dr. José Martin Camperchioli ; the Vice Minister of Livestock, Dr. Marcelo González ; and Dr. Hugo Idoyaga Benítez , Outgoing President of the Assembly of Delegates of the WOAH.

This authorization represents a very important step forward for the national sheep production sector and is the result of sustained technical, sanitary and diplomatic work, aimed at strengthening the presence of Paraguayan products of animal origin in highly demanding international markets, highlighted SENACSA.

This achievement reaffirms Paraguay's position as a reliable supplier of animal-based food to Asia, generating new opportunities for the growth of the national production sector and strengthening the country's exports, the official veterinary service highlighted.
