Thailand's chicken meat shipments reach China
Thailand was banned from exporting poultry meat and products to China after the country was hit by an avian influenza outbreak back in 2004.
Ren Yisheng, China’s Consul General to Thailand said: “China has been closely following the development of control systems of the poultry industry.”
Chicken meat shipments account for the largest share of 85% from Thailand's total meat exports, according to Niwat Sutemechaikul, Deputy Secretary of Thailand’s Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry.
