Cargill has appointed Jon Nash to lead the company's North American protein business.

Cargill Protein appoints new leader

The company added in a statement that Nash will report to Brian Sikes, who was recently appointed to the executive team as leader of the company’s global protein and salt businesses.

Most recently, Jon Nash was the president of Cargill’s Protein foodservice business, where he strengthened and built strategic customer relationships. His began his career at the company in 1998. Nash has also served as vice president of operations and was the general manager and controller of the company’s Fresno, Calif., beef facility.

“Cargill is innovating the future of protein,” said corporate senior Vice President Brian Sikes. “Jon is a results-driven leader. He puts people first, embraces technology and is a forward thinker – his collaborative approach will help continue our growth.”

Nash will begin his new role on March 1, 2019, and he will be based in Cargill Protein’s new headquarters in Wichita, Kan.
