Danish Crown participated in Danish delegation to China
Danish Crown's exports to China have a long history, and it was therefore natural that the company participated in the delegation that has just returned from China, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
The 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries was celebrated here, and Vice Chairman of Danish Crown, Ulrik Bremholm, who was with the delegation, also used the opportunity to talk about the trade that is of great value to Danish Crown, among others.
"Food supply and food safety have been a major theme of the trip, and what the eight companies that participated can do, the Chinese would like to support and increase. Danish Crown is often mentioned due to our long history of 75 years, so the general benefit has been very good. The same has been the targeted benefit, which has been about dialogue with existing and potential partners who also want to maintain or expand the collaboration", says Ulrik Bremholm.
Part of the program was a meeting with Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao.
"I emphasized that we are owners of Danish Crown in Denmark who are dependent on stable and continuous trade with such a large country in China, which must be able to withstand external pressure from the rest of the world. We want stable sales to China, and that meeting was very constructive", says Ulrik Bremholm.
The delegation, which consisted of representatives from Danish Crown, Novonesis, Novo Nordisk, Danfoss, AP Møller Maersk, Carlsberg, Topsøe, Grundfos and official Denmark, flew home on Monday evening, and Ulrik Bremholm is pleased with the goodwill he has met when the topic of Danish Crown comes up.
"I am going home with a positive experience that we have a Danish Crown that is strong and highly respected for our history in China and our ownership structure. We are a trusted and strong partner for our Chinese customers. This is the basis for good cooperation that we must continue to work from, so that despite geopolitical instability we maintain and expand our exports to China, which is an important country and market for Danish Crown".
