Friboi to expand its quality beef program in Brazil

Within this program, Friboi and ACNB want to promote the high quality beef Nelore and to expand the supply and commercialization of this meat to a broad market.

The agreement states that the Nelore Natural Protocol for the management and production of carcasses will be extended to all 36 production units of Friboi, facilitating the acces of the associated producers of the ACNB.

"Friboi and ACNB have great synergy. We have productive units in all the corners of Brazil, close to the farms of Nelore members. With this, the Nelore Natural program gains capillarity and a national dimension, which will contribute strongly to the valorization work of the breed, one of the main protagonists of the cattle raising, responsible for 80% of the Brazilian herd, "says the president of Friboi, Renato Costa . "Our experience with the partnership with producers and support in the management and promotion of the product has contributed strongly so that we can offer the consumer a beef of the highest quality in Brazil and in the world," adds the executive.

"Nelore beef is the meat of Brazil. We are delighted to close this partnership with Friboi, one of the largest cattle slaughtering and processing companies in the world, which will certainly enhance the Nelore Natural Program that aims to value those who produce quality meat.

"In addition to promotion actions Nelore Quality Circuit, this partnership proposes to implement actions and provide tools so that cattle ranchers can improve their indicators, have more profitability, and contribute to further strengthen Nelore and Brazilian livestock. Everyone wins in this process: the producer, the industry, the final consumer and the country," Nabih Amin El Aouar, President of the ACNB, said.

The Nelore Natural Program includes 522 participating producers. In 2018, this group provided some 380,000 animals for the production of meat with superior quality and most of them are located in the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul.
