The new qualifications include units in Mato Grosso (6), Rio Grande do Sul (2), Minas Gerais (2), Goiás (2), Mato Grosso do Sul (2), Rondônia (2) and São Paulo (1).

This month, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) also confirmed the opening of the Indonesian market to beef with bone, offal, meat products and meat preparations, expanding the portfolio of qualified products.

With approximately 283 million inhabitants, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world and represents a strategic destination for animal protein. Beef consumption has been growing consistently, driven by rising incomes and the expansion of the urban middle class.

Between January and August 2025, Brazil exported 15,400 tons to Indonesia, generating US$71.6 million in revenue - an increase of 258.9% in value and 253% in volume compared to the same period in 2024. In all of last year, Brazil had shipped only 2,600 tons, worth US$11.5 million.

ABIEC highlights that the advancement of qualifications reflects the joint work between the private and public sectors, especially the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services and ApexBrasil, fundamental partners in the process of opening and expanding markets.

"What we see in Indonesia is a clear example of how the union between the private and public sectors yields concrete results. Our members have invested in quality, technology, and sustainability, while the Brazilian government has acted decisively in international negotiations. This combination is crucial for Brazil to gain more space in strategic markets and consolidate its position as a reliable global supplier of beef," stated Roberto Perosa, president of ABIEC.
