PROVACUNO has conducted a series of visits to establishments across the entire Spanish beef production chain, accompanied by a group of Japanese buyers. The aim is for them to experience firsthand the characteristics of the Spanish production model and to verify that the beef marketed from Spain is a premium product, unlike other quality beefs around the world.

Japanese buyers visit Spain, accompanied by Provacuno, to learn about the beef production system

The visits have consisted of showing the particularities of the production of the livestock farm, which is mainly characterized by a feeding system with cereals and oilseeds of the highest quality, for at least 200 days, for animals that, for the most part, are slaughtered between 12 and 20 months, which will finally provide a tender, juicy product, with a delicate flavor and a balanced fat percentage.

During these visits, special emphasis has been placed on the strict food safety requirements maintained throughout the production chain, guaranteeing the marketing of safe beef; in particular, it is explained that, unlike the production model of non-European countries, the administration of antibiotics and other growth promoters to animals is not allowed, as well as the use in the meat produced of elements that increase its shelf life.

The trip concluded with a visit to the Mercamadrid meat center, as a demonstration of the end of the production chain, where buyers were able to learn about packaging, product references and the marketing system.
