Mario Ravettino, president of the consortium, explained that compared to June 2024, export volumes were 4.6% higher, while the value obtained reached a significant recovery of 45.7 percent.

The cumulative total for the first six months of the year reveals that foreign sales of refrigerated and frozen beef totaled approximately 312,600 tons of product weight, valued at $1.5879 billion.

Compared to the first six months of 2024, export volumes were 16.4% lower, but the value obtained was 11.6% higher.

The People's Republic of China continued to be the main export destination, both for the month of June and for the first six months of the year. In the last month, 16,300 tons of bone-in beef and bone-in beef from deboning were shipped to China, valued at $32.8 million, and approximately 31,100 tons of boneless beef, valued at $152.5 million.
