In terms of monthly performance, June was the best month of the year so far in absolute value, surpassing shipments from May (US$1.25 billion) and April (US$1.33 billion).
"The half-year results reinforce international confidence in Brazilian beef and consolidate the work we have done to expand and maintain market access. The more we export, the more we strengthen the entire chain. We generate jobs, income, and foreign exchange for the country, while simultaneously supplying the domestic market. Approximately 70% of our production remains in Brazil, and shipments abroad complement domestic consumption, contributing to balanced supply and the sustainability of the entire chain", highlighted Roberto Perosa, president of ABIEC.
