Brazil plans to export 1.5 million live cattle in 2025

"If this projection is confirmed, the volume will be one of the largest in history, which represents a way to reward producers and an additional option for the Brazilian livestock production chain", the consulting firm stated.

Between January and April, some 300,000 head of cattle were exported, more than double the 145,500 in the first four months of 2024. Revenues increased from USD 126 million to USD 286 million.

In 2024, the sector's revenue was USD 829 million, 70% more than the USD 488 million in 2023.

Iraq, followed by Türkiye and Egypt, are the three main destinations. Shipments were also made to Lebanon, Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iran, and Pakistan.

Brazil continues to open markets for live cattle, with the announcement of the authorization to ship to Indonesia, which has just added 184,000 animals to its import quota for 2025, bringing the total to 534,000 head.
