INTERPORC: White pork is the best ally in a balanced diet

White pork meat and products provide nutrients involved in various essential body functions.

White pork and its meat products are essential elements of a balanced diet due to their high nutritional quality, flavor, easy digestibility, and the wide variety of preparation methods that make them suitable for all tastes and ages.

Experts recommend eating lean meats, such as pork, at 3 to 4 servings per week, each containing 100 to 125 grams, as an essential protein in a balanced diet.

Among their nutritional properties, it is worth highlighting their significant contribution of high biological value proteins. They also provide important minerals such as iron, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, and B vitamins (B 1 , B 3 , B 6 , and B 12 ), nutrients involved in various essential bodily functions.

In terms of fat content, it has an interesting lipid profile . Only a third of the fat is saturated, with the remainder being primarily monounsaturated fat (42.9% monounsaturated fat and 15.9% polyunsaturated fat, 34% saturated). Thus, lean cuts, such as sirloin, contain 2.65 grams of fat per 100 grams of product.

Its characteristics make pork and its meat products the best ally for a balanced and healthy diet .
